Description

A plan of the city of Landrecies, besieged by the Archduke Leopold, with the Bois de Mourinal in the upper right, men under a tree in the foreground, with carts and guns, the various regiments and forces under several commanders drawn up around the city, including the French army approaching to attack the Archduke and his forces in the left foreground; state with corrections to the text, 'Landrechis' changed to 'Landrechies'. 1648

Theodore de Crepu et Iacques van Werden, Ingeniaires de sa Mties. du Camp devant Landrecies, le 18. de Iullet, 1647."; the plan lettered with a key giving the lay-out of the seige; a banner to left, with the explanation to the key and 'Plan de la Ville de Landrechies en Henau, assiegée par les Armes de sa Mas. Catholique le 1e. de Iuin, et rendue le 18. de Iullet 1647, sous la Conduite de Son Alteze le Serenissime Archiduc Leopolde / Bruxellae, Excudit Ioannes Mommartius, Ord.
