• it is a low resolution still of a television series;
• it does not limit the copyright owners rights to sell the film in any way;
• it illustrates the episode in question and aids commentary on the plot outline
• The image is used to illustrate "scary names", which are a part of most of the Treehouse of Horror episodes. The names are usually written in green special text, so the image helps show what that looks like.
• There is no known replaceable non-fair use image.
