Description
English: The Buller Memorial in Crediton Parish Church, in memory of General Sir Redvers Buller (1839-1908) VC, GCB, GCMG, of Downes House in the parish of Crediton. He married Lady Audrey Jane Charlotte Townshend (d.1926), a daughter of John Townshend, 4th Marquess Townshend. The arms of Buller are shown at left; the arms of Buller impaling Townshend (quartering de Vere) are shown at right. Shown at left (top to bottom) are the arms of: Exeter, Plymouth: Argent, a saltire vert between four castles sable, Penzance, Southampton; Shown at right (top to bottom) are the arms of Redruth, Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, Worshipful Company of Carpenters, Worshipful Company of Skinners.
