Normal testicular size after puberty averages 5x3 cm, normal range for length being 4,5-5,5 cm and for volume 15-30 cm3. In prepubertal boys testicular length is under 2 cm and volume under 2 cm3. In this image we see genitalia of a 29 years old male with normal sexual functions. Testicles are of typical size (right 5,0x3,0 cm/24 cm3, left 5,2x3,1 cm/26 cm3). The black oval represents the size of the left testicle. The blue oval estimates the size of a prepubertal testicle. The white oval estimates the size of a mid-sized chicken egg. |
