DescriptionSydney University Wind Orchestra and Verbrugghen Hall.jpg
English: Audience view of the Sydney University Wind Orchestra (SUWO)'s Liquid Compass show, held at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music's Verbrugghen Hall on Saturday 28 October 2017. The building was originally constructed in 1815 as the stables for the New South Wales Government House, designed by Francis Greenway based on the vision of Govenor Lachlan Macquarie's post-Gothic vision for official buildings. In 1915–16 the building was renovated and re-purposed into a music school. Today, two institutions occupy the building; the Conservatorium High School, New South Wales' only designated specialist high school and the music faculty of the University of Sydney, whom own the building. The Sydney University Symphony Orchestra (SUSO) and Sydney University Wind Orchestra (SUWO) regularly practice, rehearse, and perform in the building.
