BRISTOL & SOUTH WALES UNION RAILWAY
This is the remaining part of the terminal pier from which train passengers embarked for Portskewett.
The service commenced in 1863 and terminated in 1886 with the opening of the Severn rail tunnel.

This plaque commemorates the crossing from the ferry near the English stones during the 18th century of
JOHN and CHARLES WESLEY

Dedicated for the 250th anniversary of their conversion, May 28th 1988.
