Description
English: Ascent of the Lord. The samurai is visible, and his status is higher than that of a direct attendant hatamoto (?). The lacquer palanquin with Kuyo-crest (Hosokawa clan) is a wonderful detail. The manner in which the retainers and attendants behave is also decided perfectly. Apparently this is authentic. Circa late Edo period.
日本語: 殿様の登城。この武士はどう見てもお目見え、直参旗本以上の身分である。九曜紋入りの蒔絵の駕籠も見事なこしらえである。家来、従者のかしづき方もピタリと決まっている。どうやらこれは本物らしい。
