Summary

Description
English: This diagram shows the innovations of protection of a multicellular embryo which was the first plants to live on land. Vascular tissue permits the transportation of the water and nutrients. The next generation needed a stronger way to survive which increased the evolution of seeds. It starts with a common ancestor and moves up the chain as each one gets more and more complex, from something as simple as a Charophyte which does not have a protected embryo to the most complex thing which is the Flowering Plant which has double fertilization.
