Grösse; B weibliche Blüthe den jungen Fruchtzapfen bildend, desgl.; C Zweig mit reifem Fruchtzapfen, desgl.; 1 Blüthenkätzchen, desgl.; 2 männliche Blüthe von unten und von der Seite, desgl.; 3 Beutel, geöffnet, desgl.; 4 Pollenkorn, desgl.; 5 Fruchtblätter des blühenden Kätzchens, von der inneren und äusseren Seite gesehen, desgl.; 5a Bractee der weiblichen Blüthe, desgl.; 6 Fruchtblatt mit den beiden Samen, von verschiedenen Seiten; 7 Samenkorn mit und ohne Flügel, natürl. Grösse; 8 Same im Längsschnitt, vergrössert; 9 Nadel mit Querschnitt, desgl.; 10 Harzgang a aus der Rinde von Picea excelsa, dessen umliegende Zellen b mit halbflüssigem Harze und die Rindenzellen c noch mit geringen Mengen von Stärkemehl angefüllt sind.
