English: Paul Neumann was a lawyer born in Germany, who then lived in California, and moved to Hawaii. He served twice as Attorney General in the Kingdom of Hawaii, from December 1883 – March 1886 under King Kalakaua, and in 1892 for Queen Lili'uokalani. He was also the Queen's personal lawyer after she was deposed and arrested for treason.
