File:Manchester Union Democrat office 1877.svg

Original file(SVG file, nominally 578 × 810 pixels, file size: 4.68 MB)

Description
English: Engraving of the office building for the Manchester Union Democrat and the Campbell & Hanscom firm, its publisher, in the city of Manchester, New Hampshire. Scanned from an advertisement on the back cover of the 1877 town report for Goffstown. Records indicate that the original office, which occupied the Union building over the Manchester National Bank at the corner of Elm and Market street, was destroyed along with many other downtown buildings during a fire on July 8th 1870. Campbell & Hanscom constructed a new building that was completed in 1874 so presumably this engraving depicts that 1874 building.
