| Description |
English: Malahide station opened in 1844 although the present building is a later GNR(I) structure, of a standard, design similar to that at Lisburn J2664 : Lisburn railway station (1). At the time of the photo (well before electrification and the DART) many Dublin suburban trains were “push-pulls” formed by de-engined railcars with a diesel locomotive operating on the push-pull system. The interiors were notable for their utilitarian seating. The train is the 13.13 to Dublin Pearse. |
