Summary

Description
English: Drawing of the handle of a ceremonial mace with the name of Hotepibre, an ancient Egyptian pharaoh of the 13th Dynasty. On its sides, the king's name is worshipped by two baboons, barely visible here. The mace was found in the so-called "Tomb of the Lord of the Goats" at Ebla, in Northern Syria, and was most likely a gift from Hotepibre to the Eblaite king Immeya. Materials: gold, silver and ivory.
