Description
English: Italy Italy, Livorno, Via Roma 234, Villa Webb Henderson. It was the villa of James Webb, a rich English merchant, who died in 1822 and the villa passed to the family Guebhard. In 1850 the title of succession went to Mrs. Webb James widow of Giovanni Gherarducci and in 1890 to Webb James Elisa and Gherarducci Elvira. The property was sold in 1900 to Bracchini Ettore and on August 7, 1917 to Peterson Costance wife of Giorgio Henderson. Henderson’s widow sold the villa in 1935 to the Provincial administration which transformed it into a Museum of Natural History of the Mediterranean Sea.
