ქართული: ქვათახევის სამონასტრო კომპლექსი, თბილისიდან 55 კმ-ში, კასპის რაიონში მდებარეობს. ტაძარი XII საუკუნისაა, და პლატონ იოსელიანი მის აღმშენებლად დავით აღმაშენელს მიიჩნევს და აგების წლადაც 1126 წელს ასახელებს, თუმცა სხვა წყაროებში, ტაძრის მშენებლობა თამარის სახელს უკავშირდება. გადმოცემით, ტაძრის საძირკველში ღვთისმშობლის სამოსლის მცირე ნაწილია ჩატანებული და ტაძარიც მის სახელს ატარებს.

ტაძარში დაცულია სიწმინდეები: წმინდა იოანე ნათლისმცემლის წმინდა ნაწილი და ღვთისმშობლის მიძინების სასწაულთმოქმედი ხატი. ქვათახევი ქართლის უმთავრეს მონასტრად მიიჩნეოდა და მას დიდებულები ყოველთვის მფარველობდნენ. დაცულია მეფე ლაშა-გიორგის შეწირულობის სიგელიც ქვათახევისადმი... სავარაუდოდ 1389 წელს თემურ-ლენგს სასტიკად დაურბევია ქვათახევის მონასტერი, იქ მყოფთათვის ქრისტეს უარყოფა მოუთხოვია. მონასტრის ბინადარნი კი უდრეკად ყოფილან. შეუკრებია თემურ-ლენგს მონაზვნები, ბერები, მთელი სამღვდელოება, რომელთა რაოდენობა ერთ დიდი სოფელს აღემატებოდა, გამოკეტა ისინი ტაძარში და ცეცხლს მისცა იქაურობა. ტაძრის იატაკზე ეხლაც არისო დამწვარი სხეულების კვალი...

აოხრებული ტაძარი მოგვიანებით ალექსანდრე დიდმა აღადგინა და მას შემდეგ, 1796 წლამდე მონასტერი იმდენად წმინდად მიიჩნეოდა, რომ იქ ქალს ფეხი არ დაუდგამს...
