English: Overview of fields at the Kolmer Site, an important archaeological site located in the American Bottom west of Fort de Chartres in the western extreme of Prairie du Rocher Precinct, Randolph County, Illinois, United States. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and it is part of a Register-listed historic district, the French Colonial Historic District. Picture is taken from the road atop the Mississippi River levee.
