English: The Philippine Muslims' (Moros) ethnic long sword is also called the kampilan. Its unique bifurcated hilt is believed to represent the gaping mouth of either the mythical naga (serpent) or perhaps the crocodile. The round design on the middle of the hilt supposedly represents the "eye" of the figural creature.
