Description

Ink corrosion:iron gall ink has oxidized the cellulose, causing the paper to disintegrate.

The manuscript is exhibited behind glass in a church in Evora, Portugal (next to the Capela dos Ossos). I took the photo through the glass. The manuscript is exhibited there without any comment, as just a curious old object. The light is indirect daylight.
