Flocks graze on national forests from about June 15 to October 15. This scene is on the Challis National Forest in mid August. The great mountains of the Sawtooth primitive area form the background. Revenue from sheep and cattle grazing is an important source of revenue on national forests. Fees from sheep grazing vary from about 2 1/2 cents to 4 1/2 cents per head per month depending on accessibility of the range."
