Ninetyfour Mile Creek (canyon); upstream Granite Rapids, (from Monument Creek, South side, photo right). Tower of Set, right, and Horus Temple, the two close prominences; the flat-topped, Shiva Temple, of en:Kaibab Limestone, approx. same elevation as North Rim, Kaibab Plateau. The photo overlooks Granite Gorge. Below the cliffs of Redwall Limestone, are the 2 slope-forming units of (grayish) Muav Limestone, and (greenish) Bright Angel Shale. |
