Zeeland, 5 juli 2015. Na een lastige waaieretappe sprint een kleine groep voor de zege. Fabian Cancellara verrast zichzelf en snelt naar de derde plaats na André Greipel en Peter Sagan. Tijdens de proloog op dag één moest hij de zege aan Rohan Dennis laten, nu volstaat een derde plaats om de gele trui van de Australiër over te nemen. Een dag later valt Cancellara en verlaat hij als leider de Tour met twee gebroken ruggenwervels. Drie maanden eerder brak hij al dezelfde twee ruggenwervels. De Zwitser kent een pechjaar. De gele tui is zowat het enige lichtpuntje in 2015. English:
Zeeland, 5 July 2015. After a gruelling stage in echelon formation, a small group made a sprint for first place. Much to his own surprise, Fabian Cancellara raced into third place after André Greipel and Peter Sagan. During the prologue on day one he had to hand the victory over to Rohan Dennis, but a third place was enough to take the yellow jersey from the Australian. A day later Cancellara fell and dropped out of the Tour de France with two broken vertebrae, the same two he had broken three months earlier. The yellow jersey was about the only bright spot for him in 2015, which turned out to be a bad year for the Swiss cyclist. Français : Zélande, 5 juillet 2015. Après une étape en éventail difficile, un petit groupe sprinte pour la victoire. Fabian Cancellara se surprend et s’empare de la troisième place, derrière André Greipel et Peter Sagan. Durant le prologue, le premier jour, il avait dû laisser la victoire à Rohan Dennis, mais à présent, une troisième place lui suffit pour prendre le maillot jaune à l’Australien. Le lendemain, Cancellara fait une chute et quitte le Tour de France avec deux vertèbres dorsales cassées. Trois mois plus tôt, il s’était déjà cassé les deux mêmes vertèbres. Le Suisse connaît une année de malchance. Le maillot jaune est pratiquement son seul moment de réconfort en 2015. |
