«Прямоугольное двухстороннее полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, воспроизводящее фигуры герба Богородского района, выполненные в синем, зелёном, белом и жёлтом цветах».

Геральдическое описание герба: «В зелёном поле с лазоревыми включенными краями — серебряная, с золотыми кровлей и главкой с шестиконечным крестом, повышенная одноглавая церковь, сопровождённая внизу тремя золотыми шкурами (две и одна), из которых верхние показаны поверх границ поля и краёв».
