Description
English: This black-and-white photograph, in landscape format, documents two men with a movie camera at Bondi Beach, Sydney Australia 1951. A crowd has formed around one side of the camera, with some of the crowd dressed only in their swimming costumes. The crew are filming a practice artificial respiration scene by lifesavers on the beach.

James Fitzpatrick was an American documentary film maker who specialised in travel documentaries. He visited Australian shores in early 1951. During the three days RMS CARONIA was in Sydney in February 1951 Fitzpatrick filmed the sites and attractions of the city.
