English: Site of Farthinghoe station, 1992.
View westward, towards Banbury: ex-LNWR (Bletchley) - Verney Junction - Buckingham - Banbury (Merton Street)line, also used by ex-Stratford-on-Avon & Midland Junction Railway trains from Blisworth via Towcester which joined at Cockley Brake Junction. The station had been closed to passengers 3/11/52 (goods 2/12/63), the passenger traine from Blisworth having ceased from 2/7/51 (goods from 29/10/51). The LNW line passenger service ceased from Buckingham from 2/1/61 (goods 2/12/63) and the line here was then closed, but a diesel-car still ran Buckingham - Bletchley until 7/9/64 and goods until 5/12/66. (My Honda Accord) is not about to be disposed of in the Council Dump).
