Summary

Description Grumman F9F-2B Panthers of Naval Reserve fighter squadron VF-837, Carrier Air Group 15 (CVG-15), launching from the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Antietam (CV-36), which was deployed to Korea from 8 September 1951 to 2 May 1952. VF-837 would be redesignated VF-154 Grand Slammers in 1953, and would change the nickname to Black Knights in 1957. In 2008 it is designated VFA-154.
