Summary

Description

The South Pier Breakwater Light is located at the end of the South Pier at the Duluth Canal. The structure is made of brick. The building was designed to hold a fog signal and the lighthouse itself. The original fog signal has been removed and was replaced with an electric horn.

The lantern displays a fixed green light. The lens itself is 4th order fresnel lens -- the original. The green color is created by green panels that surround the lens. The lantern itself has helical bars rather than the usual rectangular windows.
