The Maryland State Capitol is the tall tower in the distance. At the end of the street/harbor is a set of statues showing Alex Haley (author) reading to children. His ancestor Kunte Kinte landed in the harbor as a slave coming from Africa, according to Haley (and historical markers near the statues). |
