Summary

Description
English: AWM Caption:Korea. 13 July 1953. This desolate landscape greets the soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), as daylight dawns on their long night vigil. The scene, reminiscent of similar trench scenes from the First World War, is part of the notorious Hook feature, the site of many bitter and bloody battles during the Korean war.
