This pillbox housed a depression position finder (DPF) for Battery McCook. This image, taken in 2010, shows the observation slit for the pillbox. It has two steel shutters, the right one of which is rusted into the open position. The pillbox is entered through an access hatch in its concrete roof. The hatchway is open, and shows no evidence of a door or cover. A set of steel handholds leads down into the pillbox.
