Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde von Otto Hupp entworfen und enstammt einem Siegel von 1238. Der Reichsadler erinnert an die Erhebung des ehemaligen Fleckens zur Reichsstadt durch Kaiser Friedrich II. im Jahre 1226.
English: The arms show the imperial eagle, which remember, that the village became a free imperial city through Frederick II, Holy Roman Emperor in 1226.
