Deutsch: Das Wappen des Landkreises Bamberg wurde am 18. Juni 1962 vom bayrischen Innenminister verliehen und am 28. Mai 1973 von der Regierung Oberfranken bestätigt. Es kombiniert die Symbole des Klosters Ebrach (Keiler oder Eber) und des Hochstifts Bamberg (Löwe).
English: The arms were first granted on June 16, 1962 and confirmed on May 28, 1973. The arms are a combination of the arms of the two main landowners in the district, the monastery of Ebrach and the Prince-Bishopric of Bamberg. The lion is taken from the arms of Bamberg, the (canting) boar (Eber) from the arms of Ebrach.
