Object history
Deutsch: Im Verlauf des 19. Jahrhunderts führte die Gemeinde in ihren Siegeln das Bild einer Weintraube an einem Rebast mit zwei Blättern. Bei der Revision des Gemeindesiegels griff man 1896 auf eine Wappendarstellung zurück, die sich auf einem 1700 errichteten Feldkreuz befand. In einer Urkunde von 1769 wird dieses Wappen als das „alte jestettische Wappen" bezeichnet und beschrieben. Durch das Rebmesser und die Traube soll demnach der „gute Weinwachs" angezeigt werden. Möglicherweise ist die Traube der Siegel des 19. Jahrhunderts aus diesem Wappen entlehnt. Das Torgebäude wurde seit 1896 mit zwei Kuppeltürmen gezeichnet. Am 12. November 1956 verlieh das Innenministerium das Wappen in seiner jetzigen Form und die Flagge. Der Torturm soll möglicherweise an den 1514 erwähnten und im 19. Jahrhundert abgebrochenen Turm zu Jestetten erinnern.
