Description
English: Ukrainian coin dedicated to Sandy Mole Rat (Spalax arenarius), a rare species living only in the territory of Ukraine, which is included to the Red Book of Ukraine and the European Red List of animals and plants under the danger of extermination. This image is of the coin's reverse — there is a depiction of the rodent on the background of plants (left) and inscriptions: СЛІПАК ПІЩАНИЙ (above) and SPALAX ARENARIUS RESHETNIK (beneath). Artist and sculptor: Volodymyr Demianenko.
Українська: Монета присвячена рідкісному виду — "Сліпак піщаний", що живе лише на території України, і якого занесено до Червоної книги України та Європейського Червоного списку тварин і рослин, що перебувають під загрозою зникнення. Автор ескізів і моделей – Володимир Дем'яненко.
