Summary

Description
English: City Island and Hart Island, off Orchard Beach, Pelham Bay and Pelham Bay Park, Bronx, New York. Also featured are The Blauzes and Chimney Sweeps Islands. The small island between those two, on a thin causeway off the north (right) end of City Island, is the home of one tower radiating the signals of two of New York's original landmark 50,000-watt "clear channel" signals: WFAN/660 and WCBS/880. Earlier incarnations of WFAN were WNBC and WEAF. WCBS was originally WABC, and radiated from a tower on Columbia Island, off this shot to the right.
