Summary

Description Illustration (after a drawing by A. du Saussay, 17th century) from the Dictionnaire d'archeologie chretienne et de liturgie by Henri Leclerq and Fernand Cabrol, early 20th century, of the gold chalice, said to have been made by Saint Eloi for Chelles Abbey in the 7th century. The chalice was lost at the time of the Revolution when Chelles was dissolved.
