English: Map of Catawissa Railroad (CRR) as of 1895. Established 1860 as successor to the Catawissa, Williamsport and Erie Railroad. The CRR was leased by the Philadelphia and Reading Rail Road (Reading RR) in 1872, as indicated on this 1895 map. CRR was formally merged with Reading RR in 1953 and then labeled as the Catawissa Branch. Portions of the branch line were abandoned in 1950s and 1960s. Conrail acquired the Reading RR in 1976, then abandoned the remaining sections. Original map cropped and CRR rail line highlighted. |
