Der Führer überreichte Major Koch (hier mit Rangabzeichen Hauptmann) persönlich das Ritterkreuz des E. K. Zusammen mit den Eroberern des Forts Eben Emael und der Brücke über den Albert-Kanal erhielt der Hauptmann der Luftwaffe Koch unter gleichzeitiger Beförderung zum Major aus der Hand des Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes als Lohn für seine unvergleichlich kühne Tat. |
