English: A U.S. Army M109A6 Paladin waits to be fired in support of day-one of the Iraqi security forces’ advance toward Mosul to retake the city from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant at Qayyarah West, Iraq, Oct. 17, 2016. U.S. Soldiers conducted numerous fire missions, denying ISIL safe haven during the ISF’s advance.
