Robison, J.A. Hart, C. Von Der Ahe, A.G. Spalding, F. Selee, W.W. Kerr, J.T. Brush, W. Spalding. Bottom: W.B. Mercer, Wm. Joyce, H. Duffy, Wm. Nash, M. Griffith, D. Foutz, D.P. Tebeau, Cy Young, D. Richardson, D. Pfeffer, W. Robinson, J. McMahon, C. Comiskey, W.A. Latham, Ed. Delahanty, Wm. Hallman, J. Ryan, A.C. Anson, R. Connor, G. Miller, P. Donovan, L. Bierbauer, A. Rusie, G. Davis. New York won the series four games to none. The Temple Cup was awarded to the winner of a postseason series between the two National League teams with the best records. Pittsburgh Pirates owner William Chase Temple donated the cup. The series ran from 1894 to 1897.
