Summary

Description The first day of opposition protests saw 30-50,000 people rallying at the Matenadaran ancient manuscripts museum in the capital Yerevan where opposition presidential candidate Levon Ter Petrossian spoke. In this picture, the rally at the Matenadaran has ended and people are walking down Mashdots (Prospect) Avenue towards Republic Square to protest in front of the Central Electoral Commission. From there they will walk to the Opera Square. (picture taken looking southwest towards Republic Square.)
