Summary

Description
English: Texas Air National Guard Image The famous “Ace-In-The-Hole” emblem was approved by the War Department on 6 June 1933. The emblem, which was the squadron’s third attempt to obtain a unit insignia, was designed by Lt Earl Showalter, the squadron’s Chief Caretaker. The Ace-In-The-Hole emblem strongly reflects the unit’s Texas heritage and has been grandfathered, exempting it from subsequent regulations guiding unit emblems.
