Seit dem 24. Juli 2014 haben ca. 900 PolizistInnen aus dem gesamten Bundesgebiet den Kiez um die ehemalige Gerhart Hauptmann Schule an der Ohlauer Straße in Berlin Kreuzberg zum Sperrgebiet gemacht. Erklärtes Ziel war es, den rund 250 Flüchtlingen, die gegen die bestehenden Zustände protestierten, beim "freiwilligen Umzug zu helfen". Ca. 50 Flüchtlinge weigern sich bisher ihren Protest zu beenden, die ehemalige Schule zu räumen und sitzen zu ihrer Sicherheit seit dem 24.06.14 auf dem Dach des Gebäudes.
