LifeEdit

Elisabeth Luther was born on 10 December [O.S. 1 December] 1527 in Wittenberg[1] as the second child but first daughter of the newly-wed couple, who had been married for just two years. The infant was born quite sickly, possibly due to her mother's exposure to the Black Death.[3] Katharina wrote:

Little Elisabeth died on 3 August [O.S. 25 July] 1528 in Wittenberg[1] and she was buried in the Stadtkirche Wittenberg.
