article a bit over-sourced, needs another pass to use only most reliable and important sources

needs more sourced biographical info FreeMarsThen (talk) 15:47, 14 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

I agree it's over-sourced WP:CITEKILL / WP:REFBOMB. A lot of citations are behind paywalls, so could not check everything. Here are some suggestions for trimming of lower quality "sources":
  • Denzeen [1] is a modified press release
  • Architectural Record is a blog post [2]
  • Interactive architecture lab is a dead link [3]
  • Architecture Design [4] is a primary source written by him, and it's behind a paywall.
  • We make money not art is a blog [5]
  • Bartlet school is a primary source from an Alumni newsletter [6]
  • Locus Research is a blog post [7]
  • Design boom is churnalism and looks a little like SEO paid-PR placement or native advertising [8]
  • Make - same as above [9]
  • Abitare - same as above [10]
  • Architecture AU is basically a name-check [11]
  • CNN/Money also looks like paid SEO PR placement or native advertising [12]
  • Telegraph & Argus is a name-check in what may be a modified press release [13]
  • The Verge also seems to be a name check [14]
  • CNN also seems to be a name check [15]
  • BBC News has no byline and seems to be SEO PR or a modified press release or native advertising [16]
  • Denzeen looks to be a blog post [17]
  • CNN Business looks like paid placement [18]
  • CNBC doesn't mention him at all [19]
  • The Economic Times of India is showing up as a yellow alert in Headbomb's spam tool for unreliable sources [20]

I think I've taken care of all of these now, removed almost all of them and in a few places found a better source. I've left The Bartlett alumni link which is only there to support that he is an alumnus (i.e. haven't used anything from the interview). FreeMarsThen (talk) 16:39, 21 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
