Draft:Tour of Karnataka

Tour of Karnataka (TOK) is an annual cycling tour that happens in and around the Indian state of Karnataka. The routes primarily go through the western ghats and coastal parts of Karnataka. The tour has been organized every year since 2015 in the month of November. The tour was founded by Chethan Ram.[1][2]

Tour Format edit

The tour is spread over 4 days where riders cover anywhere between 80-160kms each day.[3] A categorized hillclimbing time trial event is also organized on one of the climb sections as part of the tour.

Sponsors edit

Since 2020, Hero Electric has been the title sponsor of Tour of Karnataka.[4][5][6] They also give away a Hero Electric bike as a prize to one rider every year as part of the sponsorship. In 2021, PhonePe also joined as one of the major sponsors. For the 9th edition[7][8] of the tour, OAKS asset management took up the role of title sponsors. Other sponsors of the tour include Prestige Group, Muc-Off and ground up coffee.
