The Dupont Circle CVS escalator is an escalator^{[citation needed]} connecting the first and second floor^{[citation needed]} of the Dupont Circle branch of CVS Pharmacy in Washington, D.C., United States.^{[citation needed]} It was presumably^{[according to whom?]} installed when the branch opened.^[when?] Residents of the neighborhood who visit the CVS have noted its existence.^{[citation needed]} Little information has been publicly disclosed about the technical details of the escalator,^{[citation needed]} but its function is presumably similar to most others.^{[according to whom?]}^{[citation needed]} It includes handrails^{[citation needed]} and is painted black.^{[note 1]}^{[citation needed]} Daily usage is estimated to range in perhaps the hundreds.^[vague]^{[citation needed]}
