David O'Reilly is an Irish teacher, writer and adventurer, born in Cork, Ireland in 1974. O'Reilly has been awarded for his contribution to initiating education and fundraising projects for charities in Ireland and abroad. In 2018 he walked from Dublin to Galway,[1] and in 2020 he cycled 600km on a tandem bicycle with a Garda member, to raise awareness for the volunteer services during Covid-19.[2] O'Reilly is a past recipient of the Global Citizen Awards, presented by the Department of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of Irish Aid.
