Dominic Gallagher is a Welsh founder of Photon Design.
Early life and careerEdit
Dominic Gallagher was born in Swansea, Wales in 1962. He received a BA and Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in 1984 and 1987 respectively for a thesis in optoelectronics, and afterwards became a Research Fellow studying photonic logic in laser diode-based devices. He spent two years at the Fraunhofer IAF in Germany, working on high speed laser diodes and grating devices. In 1992 he returned to the United Kingdom and became a founder of Photon Design of which he is currently its CEO. In 2016 Dominic became a member of the steering committee at the European Conference on Integrated Optics.
