Dhruv Ghanekar

Dhruv Ghanekar is an accomplished Composer, Producer and highly respected Guitar player based in Mumbai, India.[1] As a Guitar player he has attended MI (Calif) and Berklee College on scholarship.

He has performed and recorded with some of the biggest names in music in India and on the International arena. Vieux Farka Toure, Richard Bona, Trilok Gurtu, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Bernard Purdee, A.R Rahman, Raul Midon, Bob Belden, Scott Kinsey, Etienne M'Bappe, Dominic Dipiazza, Louis Banks, Ranjit Barot, to name a few.[2]

He has performed at many leading festivals around the world as a leader of his band "Dhruv Voyage".

As a Composer he has delivered over 3500 commercials, many of which have won awards in India and abroad. Notably his work for Nike commercials has won him a Cannes Lion, Multiple Clios, D&AD, Spikes Asia, multiple Abbey Awards and many more. He has scored many chart-busting hits for movies i.e. - Bombay Boys, Drona, Snip, White Noise... He has also scored a ton of music for Television including the prestigious BBC 1 - UK, Star TV, PIX, SONY and much more.

Dhruv is the co-founder of the path-breaking Blue Frog - a 360 c/o which encompasses a State of the Art Live Performance Venue, Recording Studios, Label and Music Production C/o.

He has released his first solo album "Distance" in 2008 to a lot of critical acclaim.

Dhruv is the most sought-after composer working in Mumbai today. He balances his time scoring music and performing his funky brand of Jazz and Indian sound, the world over.

He has just released his 2nd album Voyage fusing sounds from Africa and India.[3] In 2015 he was featured on Coke Studio season 4 episode collaborating with Ila Arun, Master Saleem, Kalpana Patowary among others.
