Dariya Derkach (Ukrainian: Дар'я Деркач, born 27 March 1993 in Vinnytsia) is a born Ukrainian Italian female long jumper and triple jumper.

BiographyEdit

She was born in Ukraine but has been Italian citizen from 27 May 2013.[1] She has lived in the town of Pagani (close to Naples) in Italy with her parents since 2002.[2] Father Serhiy is her coach (former decathlete). she trains in Formia where she lives since the end of 2014, while her mother Oksana has been a good triple jumper.[3]

Her first best results on triple jump was the 13.56 m, this was the 4th European under 23 time into 2011 top list,[4] and 6.55 m in long jump that was the 2nd European under 23 time into 2011. She has participated in 4 editions of the European championships (two outdoor and two indoor), one of the Olympic Games and one of the World Championships, on six of these seven occasions without being able to pass the qualifying round for the final.
